DUET is a female-let architecture and design studio based in Richmond, VA. Owners Lindsey and Shanda came to Smash And Co looking to update their brand identity to better reflect their own design principles and creative aesthetic.
We worked with Molly Prentiss to develop their new brand name and statement. The name DUET was inspired by the founders' history and friendship, each bringing a different perspective to their business and working together in sync. This sentiment translates to their business as well, always striving to find balance in their architecture and interior design solutions.
Two logos were developed to work in tandem, both inspired by architectural elements. The icon takes the four letters in DUET and creates the shape of an arched window or doorway.
